Why these worksheets? The Kids4Truth program is an excellent program. These worksheets are to aid in memorization of the verses. Some children need to learn by touch or actions in order to learn the verse and have it stick in their memory. These worksheets to try to help those who learn easier by touching and seeing. These are good reinforcements for home setting or even a quick craft or a craft pack to send home. I’ve tried to follow the materials, but still combine levels 1-4. In some of the Geddes Academy Designed Workheets you will find a Notes about the verses: These are items the author has tried and found successful in home school and at K4T club. Not all verses from the themes have been chosen. These worksheets include: Bible-2 Peter 1:21; Cut and paste Books of the New Testament; 1 Peter 1:23 ; and 1 Corinthians 2: 12

Calendar--Nightly Themed Events (2007-2008) for Discoverers

This file is very similar to the Nightly Themed Events Calendar for my other clubs -- Developers, Detectives, Defenders. The ideas here are geared for our Discoverers clubs and are different than what is being done for my other clubs even though there is a little bit of overlap.

Calendar--Nightly Themed Events (2007-2008)

In order to heighten interest and provide a fun atmosphere for learning, I have devised some fun events for each Wednesday night this year. This yearly themed calendar gives parents and clubbers "a heads up" as to what kind of fun thing we will be doing on a particular night. On those nights in which we will have competitions (e.g. "Back to the Bible" Night), the judging will take place during our evening and prizes given to the best costume, or on other nights for the wackiest hairdo, or ugliest hat, etc. Try some of these ideas and fill free to share some of yours with me. Who knows? Maybe a pandemic of "the measles" might just spread across this land when some of your workers suddenly and mysteriously come down with a severe case of "the measles" on Polka-dot night! This file is an update of last year's calendar I posted. New ideas are presented; some things were carried forward from last year.

Many children’s curriculums include biblical material but fail to bring the teacher and students “back to God.”

What do I mean by this? Well, let’s say that the lesson is about Moses. The content of the lesson is about when Moses stood before Pharaoh. The conclusion of the lesson is that “Moses was brave.” The application of the lesson is for the hearers to “go and be brave like Moses.”

But what about Moses’ God?

Since the truth of the Bible is God’s truth, we must not stop short of seeing how all truth relates to God and glorifies Him. If we miss God, we’ve missed everything. (Romans 11:36)

God is passionate about believers teaching the next generation His precious truth, and He has not left us to wonder what His thoughts are concerning how and what we should teach boys and girls. Two passages of Scripture, Deuteronomy 6 and Psalm 78, are the tallest skyscrapers in the City of God’s Thoughts About Children.

Dr. Matthew Hoskinson has developed a thorougly biblical, God-centered curriculum evaluation form based on these two foundational texts. I want to thank Matthew for allowing me to post this. He created it for his own church but it is a fantastic resource for every truth-loving church.
