How Can I Encourage Children To Value Their Truthbooks (and remember to bring 'em)???

I haven't had this problem yet this year, but as I look at how the children treat their school books (very POORLY), I'm a little concerned they might treat the wonderful Truthbooks in that same way.

What are some ways I can help build the "value factor" of these books in the eyes of the children?

Also, what are some ways that will encourage boys and girls to faithfully bring their Truthbooks to every single club meeting?

    Yours Truly,

This question is nothing more than a flat-out, bold-faced, marketing set up for K4T! :-) Here's why. You've gotta' start by making available the K4T Bible covers that have pockets for both the TruthBook and the Standard/Sash. That's just a no-brainer!

Also, we plan to reward the kids with K4T Depot Dollars to be used in the K4T Depot each week. Depot Dollars are earned with each patch earned, but also for attendance, bringing your Bible, bringing your TruthBook, bringing your Standard/Sash, bringing a visitor, etc. I'm sure kids will still forget their books from time to time, but this is a simple way plan to honor those who do as they are supposed to, and as I've said for years, "You Get What You Honor!" (Ps. 12:8) Actually, I learned that from Dr. Frank Hamrick of Postive Action For Christ! :-)

Other ideas to encourage the children to bring their Bible, TruthBook and Standard to Kids 4 Truth each week are: offering a small piece of candy or price if the child brings all three items so many weeks in a row or giving a "surpise prize" every so often to each child who brings all three items. These ideas help to form a life-long habit of bringing their Bible and supplies to church and builds responsibility.

Thanks Monty for telling everyone about the Bible Covers! We like to encourage the children to keep their Bible, TruthBook, and Standard in a Bible Case. We carry at Bible Case that will fit all three items in our bookstore at: http://store.kids4truth.com/detail.aspx?ID=236. This makes it easy for the child to find his items when he is running out the door for church.

Please send us your ideas. We would love to hear them.
