I'd like to see a Teens 4 Truth program started!

    I'd like to see a Teens 4 Truth program started!

    I'd like to see K4T start a Teens 4 Truth Club for 7th-12th graders. I am calling my teen program "Teens 4 Truth" and modifying the K4T program for our use. For Jr. High (7th-8th) grade I am using the Defenders books. Instead of patches and standards I have an awards system with point values. See the documents I uploaded under the "shared materials" section of the Equip U website (at least I think that's where I put it.) for details. Maybe some body who has the time can take this idea and develop it.

    We have several clubs who have requested this.  At this time we are focusing our attention on levels 1-4, but will keep this in mind for the future.

    Several clubs, including yours, are currently using level 3 or 4 books in their youth department.  Some clubs like to use the challenge awards scenario with their teens along with changing the awards system to something that teens are more interested in like your point system, K4T gear, or special activities for those who memorize the curriculum. 

    We encourage other churches who are using the curriculum in their youth department to share their ideas in this forum.

     This is an older thread, but a relevant one.

     

    Teens have extra issues such as rock music, smoking, jewelry/tattoos, etc. How to encourage them to navigate issues sensibly, within a Biblical framework.

    Read the Bible daily. As the Bible itself says: 'Pray without ceasing'.
    How about vacationing in the US South? lots of good churches there!
    If you MUST have a tattoo, have you considered a faith related one?
