We’re looking for some advice on handling bus kids. We’ve got a couple of issues:
- We’ve got several older girls who come, and are telling us they are like 10-12, but we have a feeling their really older and should be in the teen group – no really a good way to verify it, but just something that is comingup more and more- We’ve got a couple of these girls who have come the last weeks and are being extremely disruptive – and we’re torn as to what to do. They are disrupting every part of the program – even game tiem! How do you get in trouble during game time! Anyway, and it’s causing all of the other kids (bus & church kids) to be disrupted, as well as not allow them as much opportunity in small group time as well as lesson time because so much time is being spent trying to discipline/handle these others - On the one hand, we know its huge for them to come to church and hear God’s Word/Doctrine - On the other hand, they are being so disruptive to others, is it really worth having them come We told one girl that she had to sit out one week, and couldn’t come back until the next week – she didn’t seem to like that – this week is when she is allowed back, so we’ll see if she comes again.
What are your thoughts? How do you guys handle these types of things? I'd love to hear how others handle these types of issues.
